Privacy Policy — Runn Social Automation

Runn Social Automation is operated by Runn Media to help connected business Instagram accounts respond to customer comments automatically.

  • When a customer comments on a post belonging to a connected Instagram business account, the app receives the comment's text and the commenter's Instagram user ID, solely to generate and deliver a relevant reply.

  • The comment text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to determine the general topic of the inquiry (for example, sales, service, or a general question). Based on that result, the app posts a brief public reply to the comment and sends the commenter a single private direct message with relevant information.

  • The app does not permanently store comment content or commenter information. Comment text is processed in memory to generate a reply and is not retained afterward.

  • Comment text is shared with Anthropic solely for classification purposes, governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy. Reply and message delivery uses Meta's Graph API.

  • Since replies are triggered only by a user's own public comment on a connected business's post, no data is collected from users who do not comment.

  • Runn Media may occasionally receive requests from government agencies or law enforcement for user or customer data related to the services we provide.

    Before disclosing any data in response to such a request, we review it to confirm it is legally valid — including verifying it comes through proper legal process and is issued by an authority with proper jurisdiction. Informal requests without valid legal process will not be honored.

    If a request appears overly broad, improperly issued, or otherwise unlawful, we reserve the right to challenge it — including seeking clarification, narrowing, or legal counsel — before any data is disclosed.

    When a request is valid, we disclose only the minimum data necessary to satisfy that specific request.

    We maintain records of any data request received, including the date, requesting authority, legal basis, our assessment, and our response.

  • Since Runn Social Automation does not store comment content or commenter information after generating a reply, there is generally no retained data to delete. If you have interacted with this app and would like to confirm or request deletion of any associated data, please contact us at info@runnmedia.net and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
